And the third showroom design in collaboration with Dominic Dube in the days of Auroville design unit “Brand New Day” …. This time in Chennai on the up-market Khader Nawaaz Khan Road in Nungambakkam.
As in the other showrooms we aimed at creating an individual language representing the beauty of the product on display, a language strong enough to be repeated in the various locations. All showrooms were built in existing set-ups of unspectacular character, which we mostly left as they were to form the backdrop for the newly installed showroom in its own design language. Fluid shapes flow through the space and define the various areas: reception, showroom and customer transaction. The overall ambience is serene, supporting the often vibrant colours and intricate patterns of the fabric on display.
