A spectacular, beautiful plot of untouched rural farm land on the Karnataka/Tamil Nadu Border becomes the weekend abode for a Bangalore-based photographer. An exciting topography, granite boulders, beautiful indigenous trees and a view of mountains in the distance form the background for a minimalist structure placed on the main ridge overlooking the plot and the scenery. Emerging from the rocks, a monolithic block contains the entrance and a single bedroom with a small service core. This base forms the platform for the main level with almost unobstructed 360 degree view of the landscape. Another bedroom, an open kitchen and a living space find their place. A water tank at the highest point of the property allows for proper irrigation of the land to cultivate crops and serves as pool with a view.
